You know who you want to sell to, what you want to sell - but in order to reach out to them online, you'll need to make sure that the domain name suits your project.

For example, if you were starting a painting and decorating company called "Jack & Jill's Interior Decorating Company Limited" - this might be a great name on paper, but all too often a company or inexperienced web designer tries to name the .com that way, making it look like this: www.jackandjillsidcltd.com.

The problem with this naming scheme is that the relevance has been lost from the domain name. If you want to attract new visitors, a better example might be a generic name, such as www.interior-decorating.ie.
